So often in yoga classes we are encouraged to breathe deeply, or play with the breath in a number of pranayama practices. Rarely do teachers have the time to spend, or the training to teach what a natural, healthy, everyday breath is.
In this class we will explore the mechanics and the mind body energetics of a healthy breathing pattern.
You will get practice tuning into and being comfortable with your current breathing cycle at rest. In the process, you will be able to identify areas of unconscious holding or tension as manifested in the breathing rhythm.
You will leave with the knowledge of what a healthy breath is, how to utilize the breath in stressful situations, and how to allow for unconscious holding in your current pattern to work itself through.
